Apply for a Wright County Fair Scholarship

The Wright County Fair Board will award up to three $500 scholarships across the county with each year. Each winner will receive payment after January 15th with proof of post-secondary education 2.0 GPA or higher at the end of their first semester and enrollment for the second semester.

Criteria & Eligibility

  1.  Applicant must be a graduating senior from a high school in Wright County, Iowa
  2. Applicant must be planning to attend an accredited school or institute within one year. of high school graduation
  3. Applicant must have had a significant influence/participation in the Wright County Fair within the past three years with a minimum of four years of participation
  4. Family members of teh Wright County Fair Board members are eligible to apply
  5. The applicant must submit the completed and signed application by March 31st (postmarked) to: Wright County Fair – Scholarship Committee, PO Box 125, Eagle Grove, IA 50533 
  6. The applicant must submit one letter of recommendation from a Wright County resident (not employed with the school district and not a member of the Wright County Fair Board) in an envelope sealed by the writer along with their application
  7. The Scholarship committee may request to interview the scholarship applicant prior to making their award selection
