New Building

The Fair Board is working with Sadler Construction and many local
contractors to construct a 42' x 42' building on the fair grounds. The
building will house a restroom/shower facility as well as a main fair
office. It will be located just to the south of Commercial Building
#1. If you like the thought of this new building on the grounds please
consider being a Sponsor of the fair. This building will cost over
$100,000 to build. It is $13,000 just to run the sewer line. Contact
the fair office or any fair board member for more information!

May 7, 2005 - This picture is taken from the south-east corner of the building.  The first row of block is completed and we are waiting for the plumber.  We hope to see lots of progress this next week.

May 23, 2005 - The cement was poured in the office area today.  With all luck the men's bathroom should be done tomorrow.

May 23, 2005 - Besides the cement in the office area today you will  notice block going up in the southwest corner.  Once all the floor is  poured the walls will be next.  All is going well so far.

May 24, 2005 - A & J Construction has begun the walls on the new  building.  The south wall is about shoulder high and the corners are going in on the north end.

May 24, 2005 - The walls continue.  The cement in the men's restroom was poured today also.

The walls are making good progress.  This is the view on the east side.  The left door leads into the restrooms and the right door leads  into the new office area.

This is a view from the north.  The two window holes look into the office area.

This is an top view to show the center wall between the restrooms and the side shower walls.

The walls are complete and Sadler Construction is now on the grounds to set the rafters and complete the roof.  The first rafter is being moved on Monday, June 13th.

Monday, June 13th - some rafters are being placed up on the building.

Monday, June 13th - the first rafter is being secured in place.

Wednesday, June 15th.  The roof is complete on the north end of the building.  Work continues on the roof on the south side.

Monday, July 4th - The office area in our new building will be a rough office for use during the fair in 2005. It will have electrical and telephone lines. The room will be completed after the fair.

Monday, July 4th - The restrooms will be useable restrooms and showers during the fair.  The partitions still did not arrive, so temporary ones will be installed on Tuesday.  Even temporary it will be much better than what fair-goers have had to use in the past.

Monday, July 4th - The outside of the building is looking great.  Rick Rasmussen helped with the landscaping on the north and south sides.  A flag pole donated by Bill Johnson will be set this week also.  This building is finally becoming a reality!
